Utah!

Love those colors Sphinx! Good luck on the water training. Do you have a syringe? I have used those before when I knew my babies weren't going for the water in the bowl. You put a drop on their beak, they go crazy for it because they are thirsty..as I am typing this, I guess a drop on your finger would work too..then lead them right up against the dropper as they chase your finger around..mine would chase the dropper around. Then I would swirl the water for them in the container..might work for the water nipples?

Cynthia, I use my finger to toggle the water switch. So, they watch me get water out of the nipple with my finger. Two of the three will drink the water from my finger, but only the partridge has even tried going for the nipple itself.

OMG! MiMi those are so cute!

My BO girl is still limping a little, but is much more active today. If she is the mystery shell-less egg layer, she is improving. Today she laid a shell in the nesting box and the egg part on the floor  At least it wasn't on the top rung of the roost this time...that was a sticky drippy mess. Part of me wants to give her credit and blame Peaber, but the signs are pointing to Ophelia.

Mimi your new babies are adorable, look at the hats on those, woohoo! Gonna be some very very nice birds. :)

Cynthia, like the pics of your NN and un-NN :) that is so awesome you have an Un-NN too!! Yay! My little one has me a little nervous too, some long thick legs starting to show up...it carries itself kind of boyish....and wattles lol but at least they are still pretty yellow. It has the best personality, I sure hope its a keeper. Super sweet, it is doing really well in with the Polish teenagers, not fighting at all...last night I went out to peek, the cold had me a little nervous, and the NN was snuggled up under the SL Polish, very cute. My SL Polish' head feathers are getting very very pointed. Not good. I was pretty sure that one would be female! But now the Whites are looking more and more rounded. (sigh) they just keep you guessing! I swear they look different every day. I will put up pics tomorrow to see what you think.

Ahhhhhh the chicks are killing me. So cute!
Cynthia what is this business about you stopping hatching!! You sell chicks so fast. You were just getting into the bantams too. So you don't have any more bantam Faverolles? Man I have really been missing out.

Sphinx thanks for the offer. If I hear of anyone coming to St. George I might take you up on that.

Hattie, my parents own a couple properties in St. George, so I'll make sure to let them know if they make a trip to bring eggs.

Ahhh... cute chicks.... congrats on the new egg layers, yay!

My new layer laid in the nest box today, but she still did it before I went out there to let them out, so tomorrow I have to go out earlier and see if I can figure it out... I'm leaning on it being the MArans BSL, but we'll see=)

It makes so happy that so many of you have my chicks. I am excited to see how they grow. My naked neck is in the Palace in a separate coop with my showgirls and a few easter eggers. the show girls and naked neck go to the top of the coop with a light. The easter eggers insist on roosting on the floor. They don't seem to like the light. Since the Palace is so large I was able to put two smaller coops and runs inside for the baby quail and older chicks. The little babies are in a brooder in my garage, The ones I have for sale are in an aquarium in my living room. I have chickens all over the place. All my cat friends that are coming this weekend for the cat show are going to think I'm crazy.

I have one bantam Faverolle left..it is yellow, meaning it will be white, but has black in the wings. It is looking girly so far..but so was the chick I sold to Lisa! :( We don't know for a while, but this little one has more of a pointy feather, and the comb is looking good. I am keeping a tiny tot from the hatch. It is a blue. I've had to baby it since day one..and it hatched out on it's own, but very very small. I will post a picture of the yellow one that will be a white splash tomorrow.
Yep, I am done for a while. I still have my still air that I've had since I started. Will keep it as a back up for when or if a broody gives up on some eggs...eggs I can get from someone. :D Also, if I could only get my Blue Splash bred..that would be great. She is laying like crazy. That would be great to have some Silkie eggs that would have a better chance coming from my back yard. :)
