Utah!

Here are some pictures of my NN, and my non NN. Not a great picture of the non, but you can see the whole body..looks like a girl..and oh, I am thinking my NN is a girl too.

I like the feathering on my NN. These two are pals. The white hatched just a few days
before the red, she is going to be a big girl. So what do you think Lisa, does the red non
NN look like a girl? Body says yes, the comb is staying about the same size now for a
while, not growing faster than the body..lol..

I like her cap

I was knealing down to take the pictures, and she jumped up on the roost in front of me.
Getting friendlier than she's been..or nosey.

I haven't named her yet! She looks so serious..hmm...a serious name. Nah, been thinking,
she looks like a Molly

Cynthia, cute cute babies. Mine looks much like your red feathered one. I am noticing, after looking at your pics, perhaps this breed just has a stocky build. I keep thinking boy when I look at mine due to the stocky legs and big build but I think they are just hefty little chickies :p Mine is no redder than yours, we are about the same. So yay! I can't see the wattles on yours, are they very big? Mine are a tad bigger than when you sent it to me, but still very yellow/peachish and have not grown much. The legs are quite greenish/grayish. I will get some pics of it (i am scared to say "her" and jinx it) The name on mine is Larry ( my son named it) but will be Judy if it goes the way I hope! I love mine so much!

You can really see that black side of the face on this one. Problem with this one and pictures, it jumps right on you and you have to try and hold back and snap the photo quick before it leaps onto you! Silly bird.

Oh my goodness Lisa, that bird is beautiful. Looks like a girl so far to me. Not much wattles going on. That comb looks different than mine..Larry's..or Judy's, is sticking up more, but mine is thicker. Guess it's a waiting game. I just love the color on yours!

Oh, and, she has a fluffy butt..that's always a good sign, a nice little skirt going on.

I sure hope so :) Thanks~!

Red, I think you're smart to move them. I've heard many times over about turkeys hurting chickens. Plus, I've heard that disease can be an issue- they can get each other sick, and what's no biggie for one is fatal to the other and vice versa.

Cynthia, I'm with you, Sandy seems to be really wreaking havoc.

Cynthia, that NNN is feathering in really nicely.

Some sad news for me- my little sizzle died. I wasn't sure if she'd quit growing, or if my silkie was suddenly getting huge. They were approximately the same size, and then suddenly the silkie was twice the size of the sizzle. I was more worried that my silkie was a boy. But, when I saw Cynthia's, and realized that mine had just kind of stopped developing at all, I was kind of worried that maybe something wasn't quite right with the sizzle. :(

On a happier note, I let all of the big kids out to free range while I harvested potatoes. They thought it was the funniest thing that I was scratching around in the dirt like them, and were constantly underfoot, especially that lavender you gave me, Cynthia.

Whatcha doing, huh? Huh? Why you digging in the dirt? You want me to help? Am I in the way if I stand right here? Yes? How about now? See how helpful I'm being?

More of the not-so-helpful potato digging staff.

Thing 1 and Fonzie chilling out.
