When I first saw this, I thought, "Wow they have really really good handwriting!"

Hahaha I thought the same thing! Then after a minute, I figured it out.

Red, Hooray for freedom to see your main man! Yay! :clap So happy for you! Now we won't need to be making bets/guesses on the side or playing the "guess what Red bought at Cal ranch" game lol
***Snickers, I know some of you get this lol

Ok here is a list of people that need to check in and say hi!
--Birdguy
--Sasha
--Donna (I am about to give up on you girl!!)
--chickundercover where did you go!
--utah chickenmom and dad--how is it going with eggs?!
--there are a zillion others that have not been on in a long long time! Where is everybody, you would think they had a life away from Byc or somethin'.....

I am teasing you know. But massively curious what you all are up to!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you this week~! And..........
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CYNTHIA, on Tuesday :D :D :D :D Hope you ahve something fun planned!
I am going to gone for two birthday celebrations and thanksgiving, so I wanted to send my happy wishes early in case I am not around. :D

Happy early birthday, Cynthia!

Lisa, I know that Sasha has been working a lot, and Trex is sick. I saw them for a brief moment when I dropped off Sasha' bator. That's how I know, hehe.

Whittni, congrats on picture of the week!! That is a beautiful hen.

Bird-Man, I'm flattered that my opinion counts. I do think that it really can depend a lot on the individual bird. I know that I loved my silver laced wyandotte and found her to be a very sweet, protective hen. But my neighbor reports that hers is quite flighty and unfriendly. So, it could just be the chicken.

Red, I'm so glad the divorce is about through. It's crazy to me that it's taken so long.

I'm

at you guys thinking the writing on the eggs was mine. I spent the first two years of college as premed, and the "doctor handwriting" class totally stuck. It's almost incomprehensible to anyone but me.

I can't believe nobody invited me to join in on the "guess what Red's referring to" game. Of course, I'm kind of glad they didn't because I pretty much knew, and I would've had to play dumb for her.

Hey Sphinx, if it makes you feel better, no one invited me to the guessing game, either

Birdman, I have no idea. I'm just happy he's legally single now

He's been very good to me. And if Cal Ranch had a Black Friday sale, I'd totally be all over that! I could use some more fencing to set up a nice big pen for the turkeys. Them girls are something else when they get competitive.

Speaking of the turkeys, my mom had to go out in the garden to move our big tiller the other day. She tried starting it for a few minutes to help move it, with no success. I understand that the turkeys were supervising the whole time. Whenever she pulled on the starter cord, they'd follow it with their heads. They're so funny. And one of the Icelandic roosters was standing on the tiller and just watching her, like, "Hey. What's up?"

i am so happy for you and your boyfriend. and i think all of us know you are not a man poacher type because you are just not that type of person. if my memory is right cal ranch had a black friday sale last year, i think that is when i got my butcher knife set but i may be wrong. i am tempted to get a few turkeys next year but i hear they are loud. i think i may do some meat chickens next year because it would not take much, i mean they are ready to go to freezer camp in 9 weeks and will be around 9lbs but i am still thinking of it. i am looking at cheap ways to fill the freezer with meat. if rabbits were not so cute i would do meat rabbits.

Lisa.. I'm still alive... barely... I overdid it that week working on the fence and got sick.. still haven't completely recovered but am feeling better.

My gates are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow so we'll be hanging them this week sometime. Once we get them hung and the wire attached, the last of the dirt moved, and the pig shelter finished, I think we will be as ready for winter as we will get. I still need to get the lights installed in the barn and some inside projects finished in the barn.. Planning on building a cabinet incubator for Christmas... it never ends!! LOL

We are hoping to build our home on the farm this next year but don't know yet if we'll be able to swing it. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Anyone need any financial planning, retirement, investment and/or life insurance help? PM me!! I bring hatching eggs to clients.. :)

Good to hear from you Shawn! Hey I am meeting my mom's accountant Saturday in Id Falls, I will be sure to mention you to see if she needs your help. She is retiring next year and I get the fun job of being her POA and taking care of her financials. yay.

Sounds like you have gotten alot done over there! Whew! Hope you get to feeling 100 percent again soon. That is too bad you got so sick. Was wondering where you were :) Are you still doing chickenstock in the Spring? If so I may bring some birds, I am getting the hatching bug again, and getting some nice eggs from people, but need a place for the extras...
