I would try alternative health methods like herbs, diet, and traditional chinese medicine. If those did not work I too would go for surgery to remove the organs with those problems. Wishing you better health!
I, too, went thru all the same crap that you have. I can't make any decisions for you, but can tell you my feelings.
First, check if your surgeon can remove all that junk laparoscopically. I don't know the size of your masses, but they can try to cut them up.
I had a hysterectomy similar to a c-section, and have been suffering from adhesions ever since. More surgeries. UGH. Better now.
If at all possible, leave the ovaries in, or a piece of one. The hormone replacement is a pain in the *ss.
My Dr. is a specialist in HRT, so he took the ovaries and thought I would just take the hormones.
Estrogen is what makes women crazy. After going thru instant surgical menopause (read that INSANITY) I did take the hormones, but after weaning off them, I feel much better.
Sometimes, hormone therapy will shrink the fibroids, if you have a Dr. that specializes in that.
It is great never having periods! But I have paid dearly. It is up to your doctors, and your health insurance. Try to be as informed as possible.
Remember, they are in business to make money. Off of you.
Best of luck, an you are welcome to PM me if you have any questions.

Hysterectomy - best thing I ever did. I had menorrhagia and got to where I couldn't stand up or even leave the bathroom. If you are concerned about hormones/oral estrogens, there are topical preparations you can use. I use a topical preparation known as "Triest" that is made at a compounding pharmacy that is applied to the inside of my forearms twice a day.
I wanted a hysterectomy since I started. I had nothing but pain the whole time. Pain so bad that I would be physically sick for a week. Went on BC and pain killers at 16 cause I could do so without parental consent (mom thought I should suffer through it I guess)....it helped. Years passed, pain killers needed to be steadily increased..so did my acid reflux from all the years of pills. then pills stopped working, pain killers stopped working. The fibroids (3) had gotten huge (grapefruits) and I was again getting sick and now risking my job due to attendance. Dr's offered all sorts of what I thought were invasive options and finally mentioned the "H" word... You bet I jumped on that one! It has been the BEST thing I've ever done. My ovaries were ok so they left them.
no more pain
no more periods
no more pills
no more money spent on feminine protection
no more money on pills and Dr visits
no more Acid Reflux
no more missed time from work
no worrying about that time during vacations etc.. It's been the best thing I ever did for myself.
mom thought I "was taking the easy way out" and didn't really need the surgery. She had NO idea how I suffered over the 32 years!
I had the same issue many years ago (1990s), and I elected to have a hysterectomy. I didn't want any more children, and I was ready to be done with all the pain and bleeding. It was the best decision FOR ME. No more bleeding, no more pain. I loved the results! In my case, I kept my ovaries - so I didn't have any hormonal issues until I hit menopause. The only thing that bothered me was that the insurance company only gave me 2 days in the hospital for an abdominal incision hysterectomy. I ended up needing more recuperation time and was quite miserable at home for a few days since my husband and kids were not much help - they wanted to be helpful but just didn't know what to do. I should've taken my mother up on her offer to come stay a few days! However, after a couple weeks, I felt so very much better than I had in years. Anyway - good luck to you!
