Lisa..will you adopt me? *bats eyelashes*
You're so nice...
(okay..I might be sucking up to get you to adopt my 18 y/o "d"d (she''s not very darling or dear at the moment) so if I swap out at the last second.. just pretend ya didnt see it)
No seriously.. you're such a sweetie..
Hee hee, thanks.
The world can seem very dark and intimidating, but I think there is a song or saying that goes something like, "brighten the corner where you are." I could go along in life with a cloud over my head like Eeyore (and I DO have bad days where everything seems just AWFUL and SUPER SCARY, just like everyone else...I'm just pretty good at hiding it most of the time
), but I TRY to be an optimist as much as possible. It makes things easier, and lets me focus on what is really important to me personally. I take care of myself and my family, and if we're doing okay, then that's good enough for me. We only have "a hundred years to live," right? (That "hundred years" almost always makes me tear up... LOL). So why not make the best of it where possible...?
Of course, I don't begrudge
anyone their feelings at any time. Everyone has the right to what they feel and believe.
Sorry things aren't going so well right now with your 18-year-old. Just think, graduation is only a month and a half away (she's a senior, right?).
(Oops, I'm probably hijacking this thread, and I totally did not mean to).
