Well, one topic which was always a biggie was food. Since this CS isn't being hosted at someone's house, how do you want to handle food? We could just bring our own meals OR we could bring a dish to share. I don't care. What's y'alls opinions?
 
I was thinking it would be fun to do a pot luck!
I'll provide ice, sodas, water, juices for everyone. Also I'll bring napkins, paper plates, cups, plastic forks/spoons etc.
How does that sound?
 
Hey all,

It looks like if this is successful (and why shouldn't it be), and we do it again next year, I'll be able to bring honey (hives are doing well, but probably not for this year) and morels (I found a great spot). I hate to count my chickens before they hatch (

) but it was a really, really good spot. And they were absolutely delicious.

This year I'll just bring a dish and a couple dozen eggs. Maybe lettuce and radishes as well, since for the time being they seem to be doing really well. No food allergies here.

Pot luck sounds great but I don't see why you have to bring all that stuff, mudhen (what is your real name, btw)? I'd be happy to bring paper plates, napkins and paper cups. What about a TIME? 11:00? Noon? Or is it necessary to have a time set?

One thing I remember from last year: We need to have nametags with our user names on them!! It was really hard remembering who everybody was without them!

Also, how many who are planning to come will be bringing children and what are their ages? It's probably a good idea to know that so that, if you ARE bringing children, you'll know what other kids will be there, too, to hang out with!

Oh, and I'll bring a dessert! Probably chocolate bundt cake and/or brownies. (Chocoholic here! LOL)

I was planning on printing up some name tags that will have our screen name, avatar and signature on them, and a space for everyone to write their name or nickname.
I know my (lack of) memory will greatly appreciate the nametag/face association to imprint into the few active grey cells!!

If you'd like to do the paper napkins, plates, cups, etc, that would be cool.

for when I print up the name tags, if you would like for me to print your first name, put it next to your screenname. Also let me know if you want any extra name tags for any friends/family coming with you!

I'll start this off by volunteering to bring my old fashioned potato salad.
