Vacation during winter months

I love my chickens. We have 25 chickens. I have thought about this before getting chickens , but do any of you go away for a couple of months in the winter time? Do you hire a helping hand while gone?

a couple months???are we rich and famous? if we go away for a weekend a neighbor comes over to check water and feed, collect eggs

If it's a couple months you'd definitely need someone stopping by regularly to check on food, water, and probably do some cleaning as well, unless your flock has access to a pretty big area that can absorb the amount of poop that'll be generated.

Not that I would know what a vacation looks like. My husband and I take trips separately because of the animals.

Umm no not rich & famous- smart & frugal

I have a friend check on them, change water, add food daily or every other day max. In appreciation let them take the eggs, buy them a case of beer. Lol
