Vaccinated

Was thinking of going to Co-op and getting a couple Buff Orpingtons. I asked if they were vaccinated for Marek's they said no, but they are very healthy chicks that come out of Texas from ideal hatchery. Doesn't Ideal vaccinate? Or is it the choice of the place making the order?

I always saw it as an option during check out to click on vaccinated or not.I never got vaccinated chicks.Just one died at 10 or 12-ish weeks.

It's usually an option an checkout. Personally I get mine vaccinated - it's a negligible cost that gives me peace of mind.

I guess I'm just surprised that a big company ordering large amounts and not getting vaccinated makes me wonder if I should ask again , someone else working there to make sure.

It's almost always an option. Which I'm grateful for. I don't think the vaccines do a dang thing. If anything I've lost more chicks that have been vaccinated over the years to what they were vaccinated against than I did non-vaccinated.
