Vaccines for my flock or no?

Should I be vaccinating my chicks/chickens?

I want to show, breed, sell baby chicks, sell eggs for consumption, show, and use them as fly control on my property.

They will be free range and put up at night time. I am planning on keeping ducks and some guinea fowl with them. Is there a need for vaccination? Are there yearly tests I should be doing to be able to sell eggs for consumption and to hatch chicks?

I have heard of people who don't believe in vaccinating and I just want opinions. They will be raised on medicated feed if that means anything.

You don't have to vaccinate though I believe some shows require you to. I'd ask your closest avian vet about whats in your area and decide whether you want to vaccinate or not.

I'd still give her a call. She should know Ask her about poultry pox too; as that's one of the major vaccines needed for shows.
