Sigh. I came home from hunting and fed the birds. It was dark, so I didn't do a headcount, but I noticed that the birds were on top of someone. Pulling the carcass out, I found Vader, my black EE roo smashed.
I suspect he accidentally got trampled by Sid, the guard llama. Sid is usually pretty careful, but
who knows? I feel pretty bad about it and am planning on moving another of the roos out with the hens there for a bit more protection.
I didn't see any other problem with the ducks, other chickens, or geese in the pen.
