Valentine Day presents- What to avoid

The worse present my hubbie ever got me was a deep fat fryer! I was like "What???" First, I seldom eat fried foods and second, he gave me a kitchen appliance for my birthday??? His response was, "well, you once said you'd like to have one" and I'm thinking of ALL the things I've said I'd like, you remember that??

This was for Christmas, not V Day, but DH got me a....wait for it.... flashlight (strangely compatible with his DeWalt poer tool set batteries...) and a kit to put deer horns on the wall... Which I liked because I saw the hillarity in having my tiny 7-pointer next to his 14 ptr but STILL, really honey? Oh and the flashlight, yeah never seen it again cause its in his tractor shed and I "cant have it"...thats like when mom gets a fishing rod for mother's day and the kids go fishin!

Well, I guess if you wanted to end the relationship, a nicely wrapped box of cecal poo!

Flowers are always a good choice, just make sure you take the price tag off. Jewlery is always a good choice. Whats wrong with lingerie?

I ordered baby chicks for myself this year, and I love live plants instead of flowers so I told him to get me either another plant or a stand or shelf for the ones I have that took over my piano!

O I totally dug the flashlight, in fact I was exstatic because it was JUST what I needed for doing my chores at night... too bad he took it to the tractor barn and wont give it back!

That's good advice! Because if she did NOT want a gun for a present she could then load it with the handy ammo & shoot you where it hurts.

On a Valentines Day, years ago, a good friend gave his wife a gun and took her to a firing range to learn how to use it. Less than a week later she tried to shoot him. Lucky for him they hadn't spent much time on developing accuracy.

My SO know not to give me flowers, ever. They are over priced, die and the smell often gives me a headache. I think flowers are a total waste of money. I got an early Valentines present this year, plane tickets to San Diego!!
