I'm going to miss Valentines Day by a few days. First hatch ever, didn't get the timing. but you'll still all have to suffer thru my probably bad chick pics! I hope!! 6 days left and so far so good!

Mine will be hatching late too. A combo of events, and it just worked out that the eggs got set late here. Mine are due on the 16th but I'm expecting to arrive late on the 17th since they typically take 22 days to hatch here.

my three early to pip olive eggs were hatched this morning. I panicked a bit, because I am hoping to sell all of these chicks, and the olive eggers look like Marans! (their mama is brown). So, I pulled them out, put nail polish on one toe, and tucked them back into the incubator. I noticed that one had a pea comb, but one of the others looks like it has a single comb.... anyway, cute little buggers, trying to confuse me. I now have 2 pips in the Marans... and 3 more olive eggs with no pips that I saw.

Like to mess with you already, hmmm??? Sounds like they already take after their human parent, lol... Cute fuzzlebutt!! Glad your chicks are hatching!!

one of my leghorn eggs is pipped!!!!

I know I popped those into the incubator a day after the rest of them.

Leghorns are just so precocious, I really love the breed.

One Marans has popped out, and one Marans is almost completely unzipped, one is half unzipped.

I saw several more pips in Marans eggs.....

My last three olive eggs have no pips yet.

I really hope that they keep hatching........


I want them ALL to hatch!!!!! (and yes, I have hatched before........

So is it possible for a chick to peep not pip! On day 18.... I swear I heard a cheep....or I could be chicken lady gone crazy?
