The little one is announcing it's arrival, lol! I'm happy to help when I can! I love watching other's hatches while I'm waiting for the hatch day for mine as well.
Once the chicks are dry and there aren't any externally pipped/actively hatching eggs then it's safe to move them to the brooder. You're just trying to avoid them being chilled from being too wet and you don't want to open the incubator while chicks are externally pipped so it doesn't dry out the membrane and make it harder for them to hatch.
is “chick watcher” an official title? I think I could deal with getting paid to watch it lol
