Valentines Day chicks

I actually wouldn't worry about it too much then. If you have chicks actively pipped it's better not to open the incubator and in my experience the styrofoam incubators, such as the Hovabator, seem to fair better with slightly lower humidity anyway. If it drops too much then I would consider adding a little water, you can actually use a straw and a syringe, turkey baster, or condiment container and add water through the vent hole without opening the incubator and disturbing the humidity. Right now I wouldn't worry at 58% personally and I would expect you to see the humidity spiking with hatches happening. Good luck on the rest of your hatch! Keep us updated!
thank you! 2nd baby just hatched. It’s funny because I figured the ones that were wiggling around the most would be the ones to hatch first.

Thats my cue to stop watching them with a light lol. I know I ordered jumbo’s but I was surprised that they were so big,I couldn’t use both rows of the quail racks. Glad I didn’t order 100...

Haha, it won't hurt to keep peeking. I was just being hopeful for the sleepy baby in the corner. I take so many pictures while the chicks are hatching that it's probably like a strobe light. :lau

So there are 10 now. They’re wild lol. Stampeding everywhere. One of the largest eggs in there had a solid zip line and then another kid rolled him over completely. Is that a concern?

Nope, chick soccer is to be expected and if the chick has already zipped all the way around I'm sure you'll see it pop out soon! Rolling over is really only a concern for those that are experiencing too high of humidity issues where fluid builds up in the air cell and can cause drowning. Your hatch sounds like it's going perfectly!
