Here's an updated group picture, kind of a monotone group. Nearly half of them are campines, so identical. The Trader Joe leghorns really stand out.

finally replaced the camera batteries we have 3 dominique x, 3 ee, 3 silver laced brahmas (ok, i have to tell you. my husband named them Megatron, Optimus Prime, and Ultra Mega Chicken) 6 blue laced red wyandotte, 1 gold phoenix, and 1 i dont know what it is.

One of my chicks died today......

there always has to be one!Why! Ugh! Well, at least it's over and I now don't really have to worry about the rest, because, one of my chicks always has to die......then once thats done, none usualy die after that. I don't know why it happens lol but it does, it's almost like I'm sacrificing a chick for the rest.........a kind of bill I have to pay for chick insurance......but now that it's over with, I'm kinda relieved

One of my chicks died today......

Sorry for your loss.

I lost one too. The final TJ chick hatched was kind of scrawny and both feet were a bit curled. The only one with the problem. It seemed okay (except for the feet) one minute and a half hour later it was gone. I think sometimes they just don't make it.

Sleepy, this one had me worried for a few days, all she did was sleep.
