I totally agree with you on that. And people believe if you buy the biggest and best present it will make things better. I think it really doesn't matter what I get, I just already appreciate that someone thought about we on that holiday.
Over years, humans have turned more and more selfish, and it's very sad

I celebrate the 4th of July, birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Nicolaus day (for the kids), Christmas, and Easter in the no sadistic way. The other ones are great days off for hubby, I homeschool so the kids get history lessons about the subject of the holiday. I celebrate veterans all year long sine my hubby and I are one and we honor the others.


But hey The poor donkey represents the holiday..... the cart represent what the greed of corporation had done to it.

Granted some poeple need to make a living so some things and products do need to be there our economy does depend on it, but please leave it to it's true nature!

Christ was given 3 gifts, my children only get 3 gifts from us, as a symbol of the story. And its not a big thing all the time, in fact my kids git gifts all year long. And we don't have cable or satelite TV so they don;t get to see all the commercial marketing to youngins. Movies only of a little bit of Hulu.
