Valentine's on a budget

That is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing! It is a very cute, thoughtful and unique idea! Best of all its not too "crafty"! I could actually do this one.

I always say that I don't have a creative or crafty bone in my body! I can cook and I can clean but I don,t sew and glue, beads, yarn and glitter aren't for me!

dh and I do not exchange gifts, cards and things on most holidays.. We might go out for dinner but NEVER on the holiday...that way we don't have to wait in huge lines, pay the holiday prices and don't need to spend extra money for cards of gifts. He knows how I feel about florist flowers--I really would prefer the rose bush, blueberry bush or a fruit tree for my orchard.. After you have been married 36yrs...99% of the time you have everything you really want--and if not you just go buy it...

But I do send my grand kids and children cards/ small gifts on holidays..Dixie

Love the ideas all

Unfortunately me and my BF are apart for this Valentines.

Tomorrow I'm making a batch of his favorite Fudge and mailing it to him with a card. If he was here we would probably just have a nice dinner at home.. with lots of Dessert

A nice massage, a bottle of wine, and dusting off the fancy drawers is all I ask for.

And what I'll settle for is the bottle of wine and CLEAN drawers.

And what I'll actually get is an early night with a cup of hot chocolate. If I stick some peanut butter on my face, the dog might give me a kiss.

DH doesn't do Valentine's, on the grounds that it is a fabricated Hallmark holiday. I understand the objection to spending $$$, but sometimes, I'd like a shoulder rub...

That's nice of you to send fudge.

I was so surprised I started bawling before I even opened the box. I didnt expect anything like this... my bf is currently unemployed, looking for a job and we are apart for the next 8 months- to a year while he is back in MA to help his 15 year old son with some teenage issues. We are both struggling financially with these changes and of course being apart. Apparently he worked a couple side jobs so he could send something. He's more of a last minute kinda guy and usually buys practical gifts so this is really out of his element. I hope he gets his fudge by Saturday!!
