I'm so sorry about your peeps

I'm on day 7 of 17 for my button quail. I haven't candled, don't have a light, but is it just me or can you feel the eggs getting heavier when something's cooking in there? They are so tiny but some feel heavier than others when I turn them.

It was so hot here yesterday that my bator was up to 103 when I got home from work. Not sure how long it was that high, but I took the cover off to get the temp down and it's been stable at 99. Think I cooked them?

I'm on day 16 for the first of my ducks and....

LOl...I got a whole MESS of blue cochin eggs in the bator today...so let the countdown begin - again!

she was dead when i took her out she had a egg sticking out but not fully laid. it's called egg bound. had i known it i'd of helped her and bathed her to help her pass it. it's what happens when an egg gets stuck and they can't pass them on their own.

Well I have one hatched out of the remaining Blue/Black Orp eggs. Another had pipped and died
The ones doing nothing are Day 22 and my two Cochin eggs are Day 21 , nothing there either
I sure hope the one that hatched is a ROO

I'm on day 6 here. I'm the one whose broody has a pale comb. She's looking better today. I made sure she drank water a couple of times between yesterday and today, and I let her out of her crate while I took her nest/eggs inside to candle. She did a couple of giant broody poops - I wonder if she wasn't getting off the eggs at all to poop? There wasn't any poop in the crate or nest. Weird.

Of the 12 eggs, 3 were duds and we removed them. We could see veins and tiny embroys on the rest and black eyeballs on one or two. I guess that's that until next weekend!

We're on day 7 and just candled to find 3 with life for sure and 2 with life, maybe

but our embryos are tiny, so we might need more than 21 days to hatch.

If they make it that long. I don't want to get my hopes up and be terribly upset when/if they don't make it... But it was SO NEAT to see the veins and the little dark speck.

I am on day 20. 1 out of 4 have hatched and 1 has started to zip and 1 has a pip, 1 is infertile (i think) just has a dark blob, but we'll see. Tomorrow is day 20 and the pipping on 2 started yesterday. Pipping on the 3rd started this morning.
