HOW did you store them. What was the temperature (ambient) Have you done this during mid summer (90 + degrees)? 21 days is amazing.

I've seen this...people talking about not storing more than 10 days and how they have to have exactly the right temps...but...I don't quite understand it. I was reading a book from 1909 where the guy got his eggs after a 12 to 18 day trip via stagecoach and still got an 85% hatch. What have we forgotten in the last century?

Overall we have lost a huge amount of knowledge over the past 100 years. seems like in some ways people are getting dumber and dumber. Sigh. Sorry, I'll get off my soap box. This has been interesting and I appreciate the pics of the air cells and the information, thank you very much. Thank you all too, for having different ways of doing things but not getting nasty about it. Have seen that way too much on some threads here.

I duh-know yinepu, we are trying to teach the basics of incubation. It appears we may have a wee-bit larger problem . I can see a convoluted argument about gaining a day if you move your clocks ahead, but to loose 24? Even my brain can't figure that one out. Maybe we should take Foghorn Leghorn's advice & learn em to how to make a paper airplane

I think part of it is the birds have been inbred so much for things like amount of eggs laid instead of hardiness of the eggs... selective breeding isn't always a good thing

people are getting dumber and dumber... Just look at society in general.. it's the age of "instant everything" and people wanting to be spoon-fed info instead of doing the work to try to understand HOW things work... I have seen adults trying to figure out how to tie their shoes.. unable to figure out how to lash a gate closed.. just little things that make you shake your head and wonder what the heck happened....

Bill and I like to bash heads every so often.. it's what us old codgers do for fun..
