What caused that stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

Is all this due to nutrition or to the water source or is it just something that happens?
What causes this to happen at all?

Could be genetics, diet, disease, etc. Perhaps I could have saved her if I had known she was egg bound, but often they hide their illness too well.

I am so sorry for you. What a horrible thing to happen.
I love my ducks and geese and came into problems during last week of winter
when an ermine, or weasel got into the pen....

I know how that loss feels like. I cried and someone said to me "what are you
crying about, they are only geese and chickens?"

I could have hit that person. We all get attached to our ducks and geese and even
chickens and roosters. Mine had all been taken in at the age of 1 week and I
spent alot of time with them.

so sad to lose a friend...

Both of them had blackhead and probably an E. coli infection. Had the owner called me a few days earlier I might have been able to save them. They talked to an employee at a feed store and were then sold a bottle of VetRX!

Drives me nuts that for every little thing people think VetRx is the end all cure all... Don't get me wrong it's great stuff- but you don't take an aspirin to cure a burst appendix or put a bandaid on a 6" gash!
