How do you like to prepare your tofu?

My favorite way, because I'm a pepper head and a texture greak., is to first feeze extra firm toful, than press it between towles for an hour or so, until its' thawed and drained. I cut it into 3/4 inch cubes. Then I add soy, chili paste, seasame oil, and chili oil. I let it set in freidge an hour, then I actually bake it on a very well greased pan at 400 for like an hour, until its kind of firmly cooked and browned a bit, turning only twice.

Then, I add it to pad thai (vegan is my fav...), and my favorite....Fresh Vietnamise Spring Rolls. I'm a cook, and I love to cook, so maybe I'll share that receipe tomarrow if your interested.

Whats your favorite? I still eat a great many veggie dishes, and I'm trying to convert hubby slowly. In his cake I use attraction, rather than promotion!

Peace Ya'll

Hi Peeps... My friend Kevin said to drop in.

I was a Vegan, and often vegitarian, for much of my life. Not now, though, just wanted to be honest.
Hi Marty!!!! I'm not a vegetarian or vegan. I just love this thread. They are teaching me and I am learning about healthy living and loving every minute. I hope to one day be totally vegetarian. I'm still loving my turkey bacon but if i could find a substitute then that would be great.

Nice! Searched for "Vegan" on here, as I was sure I was one of few chicken keepers. Appears to be more than a few. :) No one understands why I keep chickens if I'm vegan! Nice to see I'm not alone... I just love the companionship and joy of keeping chickens, all the eggs will be going to friends and family and I will take the cuddles and fun of hen keeping :))
I also cook.. A LOT, so I'll contribute some recipes shortly!
