Hello.
I have 6 red sexlink and 6 black sexlinks that are 5.5 months old.

They have a sand coop and sand run. No free range.

I try and check them weekly and today I saw this on one of them and I am not experienced enough to know if it's live or mites or just poops.

I use sulfur on the roost bars, dust baths and in the nest box as a preventative.

Can someone help?

Thanks

I've read studies that indicate sulfur in dust baths kills everything even on birds within the flock that don't use the bath themselves.

Many hens will develop some poop stuff. Some will need a seasonal clean up.

I like to look at other skin condition indicators.. on the abdomen and see if the skin is light pink-ish and smooth or angry red sometimes with little scabs. Angry red incates more concerning possibly parsitic issues.

Thank you. I recently went into the coop at night to see if anything was moving around and I didn't see anything.
I'm going to look again just to be sure.

I don't see anything red Or irritated on them as of now.

Thanks
