I don't know what this is and I don't know what to do. It's hard and it's coming out of her vent. I don't know if it's just poop, a broken egg stuck in her vent or if she ate something that's stuck. We just noticed it and we really don't want her to suffer with it. All of our flock free ranges. I just don't want to tug it out and it happen to be her insides. PLEASE HELP.

Not her insides, looks like something she can pass on her own.
We figured that too. But she hasn't layed in a few weeks and we have been keeping an eye on her poops. But she's been struggling with that.

It looks like she is partially prolapsed with the effort of expelling that. I would give her a warm Epsom salts bath and wash and massage her vent to see if you can help her pass anything else that is in there. Lubricating a gloved finger and very gently inserting it and trying to ease anything else that's in there out, is what I would do. Make sure to dry her thoroughly after her bath (towel and then hair drier) and coat her vent inside and out with Preparation H or honey.

I know it seems gross but can you cut into that gunky mass and take a photo of what it looks like inside. If it looks a bit like layers of cooked egg, then it may be a "lash egg" which means she has an infection of the oviduct called salpingitis and needs antibiotic treatment asap if it is to do any good.

What if it's her insides and I cut into it, and what if it starts bleeding? Thank you for the help and great answer. I'm just scared and I don't want to kill her.

Okay, thank you. Should I cut the piece that looks like string that is stuck in her vent? Or let her pass it herself? Also what treatment does she need for lash eggs? She seems healthy and acting normal. We just noticed the nastyness hanging out of her butt. Lol

I would go for where it's attached to the chunk,so you don't accidentally clip vent then examine the chunk and let us know what you find or take pictures.
