My black copper maran hen is sick. She has been for quite a while now and currently is not eating anymore and lost a lot of weight.
I’m afraid I have to take her out of her suffering but I’m really wondering what I can or could’ve done more.
She has vent gleet that does not clear up. I’ve used Epsom salt baths, 3 day Epsom salt crop flush, medistatin and creams. Also oil of oregano. She’s just getting worse.
For a while she still ate and drank and was fine but now she mostly lays down.
I’m not even sure what I am asking. Just wondering if any of you have a similar experience. What did I miss?

I looked at your other thread. Are you 100% sure it's vent gleet?
I'm just asking because there wasn't a picture and sometimes a reproductive infection also has a very messy slimy vent area.

No I’m not 100% sure. But it definitely looks and smells like it.
How different would it be treated?

If it's a reproductive infection it would be treated with broad spectrum antibiotics, Amoxicillin, Baytril etc. I think the standard dose for a full size hen is 125mg twice a day for 10 days. Baytril .5ml twice a day for 5 days

I would think if it was vent gleet that with everything you've done it wouldn't be getting worse. That's why I'm wondering if it's something else.

Use fluconzole to get rid of yeast maybe.
