Vent Gleet white gooey discharge from butt

Thank you for the feeding tip. I will adjust starting tomorrow.
I have 12 chickens not 24.
My hens are going to be 1 yr old in April. Yes, they are laying average of 10 a day.
The hens that have this red area have lost the head feather and their skin is the same red color.

I would agree with @micstrachan it looks like they may have too much fat on their bottom. I don't see any white discharge or nasty bums that would indicate Vent Gleet.

It would be best to limit treats (scratch, mealworms, lettuce, bread) to no more than 5-10% of their daily intake. Make their layer pellets available free choice during waking hours. Excess "treats" dilute the protein and nutritional content that they are receiving.
Make oyster shell available free choice for calcium.

How much space do they have? Ideally they should have at least 10sq ft of run space each, during the day - the more space the better so they can exercise, scratch and dust bath.

Do you know how old they are? Are they laying eggs?
You may also want to give them a boost with poultry vitamins once a week.
