We have a 10-11 month Bared Rock. She’s sitting a lot, her vent area is pushing like trying to poop but can’t. When she does it is diarrhea. She got crusted up so we are doing epson salt bath 10 minutes. Yogurt and apple cider vinegar. What else can we try? So far still alert, eats and drinking.
No vets anywhere near that treat farm animals.

Vent gleet damages the skin around the vent. If it isn't healed in time for when egg laying begins, it can be fatal.

If you do the epsom salt flush make sure you offer copious amounts of fresh water as the salts will quickly dehydrate her.

What are you feeding the flock?
