Vent prolapse - NEED HELP

Update on Sunday 10/9:
The last two days there's been no prolapse! I'm gonna keep an eye on her until Wednesday, then try to reintroduce her out to the other chickens if there's no recurrent issues between now and then. I've been continuing with the hydrocortisone cream, she's not too happy about having to stay in the dog kennel, but our cat comes into the laundry room when I let her out of the kennel to walk around for a couple minutes before checking her butt, and she gave Henrietta a nice headbump today.

I'll update again in a few days, which will hopefully be the final one on this matter. Thank you so much to @CoriM and @Tookie for the invaluable advice and general companionship during this. I'm glad I stuck it out to try to help her.

Glad the prolapse is staying in!

Probably my final update, but it's a good one! I let Henrietta back out with the rest of the flock this past Sunday (10/16) and kept her in what we used as our first brooder, which is a 4x4 "small dog enclosure" with a zippered top and mesh sides so she could still see the flock, they could see her, and I could gauge whether or not they remembered her. Luckily they did! I brought her inside at night and put her back out each morning until Wednesday 10/19, then let her out to actually free-range with them. Our rooster flirted and escorted her everywhere, even pecking a couple hens that got too close. She stood up for herself against the grumpy hens that moved up a rung or two in the pecking order after I brought her inside. She was in the coop at night and came out the next morning just fine, no missing feathers, no bloody bits, and no prolapse! She hasn't laid an egg in the last few days, so I'm hopeful that she's on a break for the year, but I'm very glad she gets to be with her friends again. And that she's not in my laundry room anymore, ha!

Oh wow, that is such a great report - it must be so nice to see her back to herself! Job well done for you....and your husband for putting up with the chicken in the house :D. It's so great to see some good news on this channel! Hopefully she doesn't lay until spring. My girl is molting and still hasn't laid an egg, I'm so thankful!
