Vent prolapse

The chicken that we had the vent prolapse she is doing great, we decided to name her Rotten because she definitely is. We have had her away in a cage from the other chickens from February 8 til today (39 days). We were going to try like "little play dates" let her out in the yard supervised and reintroduce her fully in about a week and let them get used to her. But we put her in there today and they where fine at first we were in there with them we walked for a minute and they started attacking her. They got her comb and waddle but nothing to serious nothing really to even worry about. But I was wondering if y'all had any ideas or any advise to make this easier on her and us. Thank you in advance.

It may take a lot of time unfortunately to reintegrate her back into the flock. What I would suggest is to place her in a dog crate inside the coop, with her own food and water, so that they can see her and be close. Try to keep her with them as much as possible. Then try more supervised visits outside where she can get away if she is getting pecked.

I am treating one who has been laying in a basket for 5 weeks. She started walking well again, and runs out of the coop everyday now wanting to be with the others. They bloody her comb. I have had to keep her in a crate until I let her out in the morning. Then she spends most of her time on the oppsite side of a fence, pecking around in the grass for bugs. I feed her 4-5 times a day. She sneaks back through an opening in the fence and hangs in her own little area. Every now and then one of the bullies comes over and pecks or runs her off. We have been doing that for a week now. I try not to separate sick hens, but they have sensed that something was wrong with her. Just try to be patient with getting her back in the flock.
