Vent(white discharge)

My 5 mo. old laying hen has been having a white discharge for about a week . When I first noticed it I took her in to clean it up her vent was red and had swelling she is pooping fine so what is the white stuff it looks like white glue and smells and drips down her fethers. She is eating and drinking and acting fine.
I have tried looking it up. Can chickens get yeast infections? All my other hens are fine. I am a new chicken mom and love my girls.
Could some one please help me.

Well if they can get a yeast infection, give her some yougart with live cultures...that is the cure for yeast infections in humans
