Venting -- Postal Service lost my chicks

I hope they end up being miraculously found.

Sacramento is apparently a huge, vast distribution center -- it serves all of Northern California. Maybe I should have gone there today, but if the guy in charge claims he doesn't have them, not sure it would have helped, and it would have been a 4 hour round trip.

Like a previous poster said, kick up a royal fuss!! The only way this is going to stop happening to people like you with the Sacramento distribution center is if they understand that they are going to get raked over the coals for being so irresponsible. I would be willing to be that you would be backed up 100% by My Pet Chicken too! So sorry this is happening to you, it sucks!
 
I left a negative review on their FB page earlier. I will make a fuss. Accidents and mistakes do happen, I get that. What was so frustrating was the inability to contact anyone there directly, and how utterly useless the tracking number was. "It's not here, we put it on the truck" is not a tracking system.
 
You have no idea how different USPS now compare to few years ago. And if you believe that they care about your sign "Live animal" you are very wrong.
Yeah, that's the sense I got. I'm sure there are some really wonderful and responsible people at the USPS (luckily my local post master is one of them), but there are too many people who seem checked out.
 
I think they are supposed to scan items OUT as well as in. Which means that the driver picking items up scans them accepted, when they are put on the truck. If they can't provide an out-bound scan... then the Distrubution Center screwed up. Unless they've changed that policy.
 
How awful! I'm so sorry. Have you contacted My Pet Chicken? I wonder if they would have better luck getting an answer? Hopefully they can get them located first thing in the morning! :fl
MPC says only to contact them if you haven't received them by 5 pm on Thursday. At which point, we are talking refunds.
