I'm looking to get EMUs at some point in the future, probably once my kids are a bit bigger, so 2 or 3 more years, but I was wondering if anyone local has emus I might come visit, see if I like them as much as I think i do?

Not sure where you are, but there is this place in Brandon:
One of the hens just went broody, anyone in Rutland County or there abouts have a dozen fertilized eggs from layers they would sell me in a hurry?
Thanks,
Jay
never visited the "where am I? " link before. It will be nice to visit and hear what other Vermonters are doing with their chickens.
I'm in Bristol, been keeping chickens for 5 yrs.
I love to eat my own birds, but am not very adept at processing them. It's the plucking and gutting I am not very good at. Anyone know where I might go to learn, or watch/help someone process their birds?
Hello all,
Just started a small flock of 5 BR's and 3 Buff Orp's earlier this year. They have just started to lay and even with the low light are giving from 3-4 eggs a day. Glad I found this site it has a lot of info for first timer's. Oh yeah I live in Holland, Vt.
