Hit the farmers market this morning to get a weeks worth of treats for my flock when I noticed they had a "scrap pile". I inquired about it and was told I was welcome to rummage through for the chicks. I still bought the weekly usual, but also got several bruised veggies and fruits for free to toss in the fridge and add to the weekly treats... too cool.
On a "personal strength" note. I drove right past the feed barn where I usually get my chicks. No new chicks today! Pat on the back.
