On day 19 and just checked and I have 1 on my 12 starting to pip. Good news to the end of a bad weekend. 1 of my 2 chickens got killed by a coon so I have lonely chicken left till I can introduce the new chicks.

I have some that have pipped on day 21 but am nervous that they are not doing well because they have not progressed... i am not opening the bator at all! Good luck to you!

Just an update... out of the 16 that developed 13 hatched and are doing well

Out of 12 I had 3 hatch and one died over night. But 2 are very healthy and both appear to be hens and I was only planing on keeping 2 any way so as long as I am correct about the sex I am happy. I don't know why I had such a low hatch rate but I am happy with the results any way.

Shipping stress ? Who knows so many variables.

Ya there are so many factors. I know there were 2 that were not even fertile. I used a egg carton and tipped it back and fourth on a pipe. I think next time I am going to lay them flat in the bator.
