I hope your chick is healing up and not too traumatised.
It must be a very different life over here where I live. I'd never dream of harming a cat, even though it was on my property. That's just what cats do. Instead I'd make sure the inside of my chicken coop wasn't accessible at all to the cat. Cats cant dig, they are not heavy or strong enough to lift, so I shouldn't think it would be too hard. Maybe just something weighty on the roof of your coop?
I doubt the cat has a personal vendetta against you and your chicks, it's just nature. Maybe you could spray it with water when you saw it in the garden (Although if it returned after being blasted with a paint ball gun, maybe it's un-deturrable

Again, it's obvious there is a big cultral differance between us. For harming a cat over here you would be in big trouble with the law.
