Very persistent broodies

I kept her in for a full week before I let her out. I catch her and put her back in when she heads toward the nests. She hasn’t been on a nest in over 2 weeks now.
Time to surrender and give her something to do if she's that stubborn. Lol. Glad my cornish aren't so dispositioned. Just have to pry a liquid chicken off her nest a couple times a day for several days and they lose interest.

Oh aart, you wouldn’t want me to eat Patsy Cline would you?! But seriously, if the chickens were a business that would be the smart thing to do. But since they are pets they get to live their lives out with me. The only real problem with 2-4 broodies at once is space. That will no longer be a problem as soon as the coop extension is finished, probably next week.

When my cornish go broody they all dog pile into one special place. I've had 3 crammed into a homer bucket with another trying to squeeze in. These are 8-10lb gens, a few larger getting into that sideways bucket. Before I fashioned a wire around the lid they would pop it off and one would fall out of the bucket. It wouldn't matter if they had a coop the size of Texas they would still want to fit into that one stupid bucket.
