I was a chicken show yesterday and I bought a lemon blue sport old english game bantam. He was so small and so pretty! Got him home and put him in the pen and today he was dead! [IMG] It's the only lemon blue sport I've ever seen.

    That is sad. [IMG]

I do hope that you didn't put him in with your other chickens though. Birds need to be quarantined for 3-4 weeks before you put them in with your flock.

That's horrible [IMG] Hope you feel better soon. Although it's not as bad as when a friend of mine bought a $500 rare tropical saltwater fish, put it in it's new tank, and watched as it swam at full speed right into the glass aquarium wall and die [IMG]

When I get a new chicken I usually quarantine it for a few weeks. I sure hope that it didn't have a contagious disease.
I am really sorry for your loss.
