Very sad; should I put our hen out of misery---died, graphic photos

Give her sugar water, but no feed. for 24 hours. just need to get her clean out.

She died. I am putting photos here so you can see what she was "throwing up" incase anyone has any suggestions of what we could be doing better in the future. Thanks for your help and your information.

FYI, she was not egg bound; we checked again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. From the looks of it, she apparently had something in her crop that she wanted to lose. That's all I can help with. I hope you get a better answer.

Did the "vomit" smell like poop? Honestly, if the chicken was a mammal my guess would be that she had a obstructed bowel.

Just a guess here but I'd say she ate something toxic or had an
infection of some sort.

Losing a bird is never easy.
