I went to the coop today gathering eggs and found the smallest egg I have ever seen. At first I thought it was a rock because I found it on the ground. It is so small that I put it in a pill bottle padded with tissue. All of my hens lay their eggs in the nesting boxes except 1. She almost appears to be afraid of heights. I have to put her on the roost at night and she has never been in the nesting box. I think this is my 1st egg from her. She is also the biggest hen I have. I have ramps to the roost and the nesting boxes so she doesn't have to fly. Maybe this has something to do with why the egg is so small. What do y'all think?

is she a new layer mine just started laying they started out small and got bigger

This is the 1st egg I know of her laying. I can understand starting out small, but this about the size of a thumper marble.

Maybe, this is a 1st for me or anybody I know that has ever had chickens. A fart egg, that sounds about right.

I thought about it, but I'm leaning more towards trying to box frame it.
