Very sticky chick PLEASE HELP!

I posted for help in emergancy, but no response.The chick in question is very icky and cant move becuase of sticky growing hard? What should we do?

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will reply, but I have held sticky chicks under a very small stream of warm water. Carefull not to let it get on their head or in their mouth and just gently rub. The chicks don't seem to mind.

sorry u had to wait for some kind of reply. I had two born that way before I learned about temp/humidity...I used a q tip and some warm water, not too hot...and gently rubbed what I could off...I will tell you, one chick I had to put down after 2 days...wasnt able to get up and walk or stand, the other one did...but after 4 days it died.

Looked weak, and skinny, bald...

Ok, So sticky chick was washed. Patted dry (sorta of).
Sticky was then put back in bator to comense dry and hopefully fluffing!
Sticky still has a very small bit remaining on it, however it is 99% cleaner. Not sure if it is a good sign or means nothing but Sticky did go poo, on the clean cover cloth put underit.

Sticky dont seem tohave bald spots and seems to be fully formed. I told my friend it is the evil LG to blame.

good to hear!!!! wishing sticky much luck...yes, LG is what I use and its TOUCHY...that is an under statement...but got mine up and running and holding its temps/humidity levels...hard to get it there but can be done...

Once when I had a sticky chicky, I read someone's post how they bathed a chick. So I tried that. I held the chick very carefully in a bowl of 100F water, careful to keep his head above water, and gently stroked with a soft washcloth, until all the ick, or most of it anyway, was off. Wiped his head off, with the wet washcloth. Wrapped chick in a dry washcloth and held a few minutes to soak up as much water as I could, then popped him back into the bator to dry off. He was fine, fluffed out nice except for a couple of little patches that fluffed later.

Since then, I learned keep the humidity lower, and I haven't had that happen since.
