I'm in a unique position. I have 6 laying hens that currently live in a very nice coop/run. I need to relocate them for all of 5 days. I'm trying to figure out the best (easy > cost) way to do this. We have a friend that lives nearby that is willing to let us use their backyard. We live in the city so we just want to keep them protected from animals like racoons, cats, etc. These are the ideas I've come up with but I wanted to see if anyone else had any better ideas.
- Several Dog Crates (Separate them in groups of 2 or so) - I already have 2 crates I could use.
- Build a temporary run/tractor like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/46/74/a9/4674a9609419ac8cba61137c59675bf8.jpg
- A tent. I'd be worried about animals being able to get into this if they really wanted to.
- Purchase another coop and try to resell.
- Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OVUBOAK/?tag=backy-20
