Here is a recent pic of the 2 hybrids, they are such characters! Very interestingly a friend of mine was looking at a house for sale in Sandy Creek Road Grantham and there was a similar bird running around? Very odd! Then they went to the Gatton Commercial hotel and a guy named Brett mentioned strange birds in the area, so weird!

hes handsome, is it male? Seeing as one of the few guinea fowl sexing ways is via their vocal calls I doubt this one sounds normal

It will get a voice just before it dies soon they are short lived less than 12 months. Not sure if in Asia its a little longer?

I have four guinea fowl. Three males and one female.....go figure. But one set have become a mated pair and the other two males have wondered around the other chicken flock and paired up to a couple hens. They are quiet a pair watching them around my place, such odd couples but seems happy to have someone to care for They speak different languages to be sure, but seem to communicate with each other. And are protective of the their chosen hens. Im sure they are mating but since I have not hatched any eggs I don't know if they will hatch.

Hi guys, I posted on another thread a picture of my little guinea / chicken hybrid but thought I'd do up it's own thread if anyone is interested in seeing updated pics as it grows Mum is a pearl pied guinea and dad is a black red malay rooster! out of 8 eggs 4 were fertile but unfortunately the other 3 died a few days before pip. This guy is very healthy and active. It sounds like a keet and a chick all rolled into one... so weird but so interesting at the same time! The alone cry sounds more chickenish.

He has white wing tips and a white belly patch also.

OMG!! that is the coolest little guy ever! I never would have thought they could cross like that. AMAZED! good job!
