Not that I know of. I would try to wet and mash her chick feed but she really needs that boost from the nutri drench or something similar like rooster booster. Can you order some from Amazon?Thank you for your reply. I do not have any Nutri drench, and I am not currently able to get any. Is there anything else I can give her instead? Or should I just do some mash?
You can try egg yolk as well. I've used it before since it was recommended here, and don't think it can do any harm as long as you dribble it on the side of its beak and allow time to swallow and rest before the next drop. You could also try boiled egg in tiny bits if it will eat anything on its own... Sorry if this was already suggested. Rooting for you and the little one; it was very kind of you to take this on!Thank you for your reply. I do not have any Nutri drench, and I am not currently able to get any. Same post from @azygous says 24-48 hours. Depending on her response you may need more time.Thank you all so much! I gave her some sugar water, and I am going to give her some chick food/water mixture in a little while. I just used regular table sugar (unbleached), but next time I’ll try using brown sugar instead. How long should I give her the sugar water? I may also try to get some Nutri Drench.
Btw, I saw her open her eyes a couple times, and she is cheeping more now than earlier, though still less than normal. I also saw a poop in her (temporary) brooder box, but it looked kinda black and sticky/tar-ish almost.
I think every few hours would be good. I don't know if you should get up or not. Do what your gut tells you. Is she eating anything at all? Will she drink from her waterer? If she will drink from that you could put the sugar water in there and let her drink when she needs to.Should I just feed her the sugar water every few hours? Do I need to get up a few times during the night?
