Vet cost associated with egg binding???

Ok, so vet said she didnt feel an egg and wanted 200 almost for an xray... sorry but just cant do that, she thinks she may have another type of reproductive issue and is prescribing anyi inflammatory. I also had an previous issue i posted on regarding ocular mareks in another hen. She said I could have mareks in my flock but would not know for sure unless we have one die and I bring her in for testing. So fingers crossed that we have no fatalities. She thinks however with the blind one that it may be conjunctivitis, as eyes are very inflamed almost too much to see the retina. And yes uI just brought both to the vet since I was going to have to come in anyways. Plan is to treat with a stronger eye drop then what I've been using and also a pain med and anti inflammatory for her as well as the silkie. Hoping for the best which would be conjunctivitis and some reproductive issues... maybe not the best outcome for these 2 but for the flock as a whole it would be a better diagnosis then mareks. Still costing couple hundred bucks and no guarantee :/ ... fingers crossed

Oh gosh. Sorry you didn't get more positive answers but wow! I sure understand not wanting to go so far as a $200 X-ray!
Please do keep us updated on her progress as well as your other little one if the new eye medicines turn around that situation.
