Veteran in tyler tx looking...

Hello all,

Recently my flock was wiped out by a predator while i was gone overnight last week and im looking for any layers in the Tyler Tx area. I use the eggs to donate to local veterans and elderly and as a retired vet myself, i would like to continue that. Not particular in breeds, best success ive had is with barreds, RR etc but if someone knows of some available, please dont hesitate to contact me and thank you.

Oh so sorry. Must of been a terribly awful experience.
Any of the sexlinks or leghorns will give you an abundance of eggs.

Very sorry to hear your flock was destroyed. This might be a very good time to shore up your chicken facilities and predator-proof your coop/run/free-range area now that you know the "Achilles heel".

WRT finding more chickens, you might look at craigslist for the DFW and/or east Texas area. There is/was a DFW chicken Meet Up group, probably found on facebook. Good luck.
