My baby chick needs vetrx for respiratory problems its having and have been told by many to use vetrx. BUT I dont know the dosage to give to my chicks? They are 2 weeks old or so. Thank you in advance

What respiratory problems are they having? VetRx is not an antibiotic and will not help at all if they have a disease.

It's not a disease the chick just has a mucusy(if that's a word) sound to her. And a couple people told me to try vetrx yo help her get over it. She drinking and eating right just has mucus and has a sneeze.

Any idea what might be causing it? VetRx might help alleviate the symptoms but the best thing to do is to solve the issue of what's causing it to begin with. What type of bedding are you using in the brooder? Has the brooder been changed recently?

VetRX is basically chicken Vap-o-Rub. When my chickens got the sniffles last winter, I rubbed a little under their wings in the evening (in case they tuck their head, so they breathe it in) and around the top of their beak. I honestly think if you are putting it on chicks, you could just rub some on your fingers and coat their beak area lightly. I believe you can add it to water also so that they drink it, probably just a few drops will do. Good luck.

I was doing research and I think it was the bedding I was using, pine shavings(not the super fine but the regular large shavings). I think I took a little too long to change but now I've changed it to hay. I keeping the 2 chicks separate from the rest on clean newspaper with probiotic and vitamin water with a corner of hay. Along with good heating. And shes inside the house. And yes I changed and separated them as soon as i seen symptoms. One chick is just weak and the other is drinking and eating but has a sneeze of sorts and has raspy breathing.
