I will post pics in the morning... Thanks everyone for helping my son and I through the surgery of helping our baby chicken hatch!!!! .... Minutes after he came out of his shell he was running around and has been starring out the window... BOTH my son and the chick ( My son named him blacky ) Are very happy right now... Thanks again everyone.... One thing to ask.... Tomorrow night will be 24 hours and blacky should be able to go in to his brooder .... Its safe to just gently pick him up with my bare hands and set him in there???? ... Yes I'm a newbie .. lol

Yes, I think you can make the transfer okay if your brooder is preheated.

You can add a little soft stuffed toy to put in with him to snuggle with so he's not lonely in the brooder.
