I think the cone is a much better way to go.
That way looks uncomfortable-- beding over for a minute in that odd position
and a little 'hectic'-- the bird could flap out of your hands- get blood all over...
The cone is very simple. Think of putting your arm into a sweater- our hand peeks out the end of the sleeve. With the cone, you put the bird in the upside down cone (it loks like a V) upside down (hold the bird's feet). He will push his head through the cone hole, you grab ahold of it and cut the jugular(?) to bleed him out. All that spasming is severely limited by the constriction of the cone. You jus tneed to hold the head and feet
