I have seperated Pumpkin and Dot and Pebbles from the others into a breeding pen, just so they can get used to it. Pumpkin only has two girls I want to breed him with Huckleberry has more. I want to hatch marshmallow and huckleberrys eggs but if I left him alone with her all day he would jump on her every 2 minutes.

Got FIVE eggs today!!!!!! e

I let Pumpkin and Dot and pebbles out of their pen, I think pebbles is laying. One of them is. Anyway Pumpkin and Huckleberry started fighting right away. Huckleberry thought he was the boss of the coop now. Well Pumpkin was weak and dehydrated because his water froze (I feel so bad

). So the fight went on and on and on and on. Eventually I had to stop it cuz Huckleberrys comb was bleeding a lot. Pumpkin got bowled over and had trouble getting back up. I felt so bad, it wasn't a fair fight. Huckleberry wanted to keep fighting through the cage. Pumpkin just drank water and had enough sense not to fight or he was too weak. There was no winner. Huckleberry will probably be up all night trying to get to Pumpkin. The fight will probably have to continue tomorrow when they are both rested. (Not that huckleberry needs rest)

Pumpkin already had dried blood on his comb, I think they had already tried to fight through the wire.

I red this thing on BYC where to tell what chicken lays what eggs you put food coloring in their vent. My dad thinks it's mean, what do you guys think?

Got four eggs yesterday. Pumpkin and huckleberry are still trying to fight each other

Got a big egg from Scarlett today, been a while she was molting. It was -7 degrees F yesterday morning. BRRRR

Dot got much whiter after she molted.
I know that mottleds do get more white every time they molt.

Pullet (no dots on back or tail)

Right before she molted (a month ago, the dots just seemed to spread out more evenly on her body)

Now (lots more white all over)

Got five eggs today. One was big. One broke because it somehow stayed on raspberrys feet when I pulled her off the nest and fell to the floor. Raspberry is starting to get harder to break, she will now sit on a nest with no eggs in it. I partly wonder if she's doing it to keep warm cuz whenever I take her off a nest she shivers.

Raspberry is super broody. Pumpkin and Huckleberry still hate each other. Got two eggs yesterday, five today
