Marshmallow was checking out the nest boxes this morning but she hasn't layed an egg.

I hope she starts laying soon e

I think Ginger might be getting sick, she doesn't look too good.... she'll be six years old next month.

I think wisteria is trying to go broody. She has plucked out all her feathers on the nest. And didn't lay an egg
Snowberry is still laying but sat on the nest all day

I talked to mom and asked her that since Marshmallow wasn't laying eggs now, and I couldn't really wait much longer if I wanted chicks old enough to show at the fair. I asked could I hatch eggs now for the fair and then if Marshmallow starts laying later hatch some of her eggs too even if they won't be old enough for the fair cuz I REALLY really want her babies.
And mom said I could as long as I had room in the coop for more chickens.

If I put eggs under raspberry this Friday they will hatch the 4th of March. Hawk hatched the 5th of March and he was the perfect age for fair. I don't want to wait any longer.

Any idea what's wrong with her?

I don't know what's wrong with her, she has trouble breathing sometimes. Pumpkin was making little sounds when he breathed too. I think almost all my chickens have some respiratory problem but I don't know what it it or how to fix it... Marshmallow always shakes her head. I think they got it when I got her.

I put eight eggs under raspberry last night. Do you think she can hatch that many?

Snowberry is acting broody but she is laying eggs. So she is helping raspberry incubate. I switch them so they can take turns running around

Snowberry is still acting broody. Today will be day three of incubation, they should hatch March 4. I'll try to get pictures
