These past couple of BEAUTIFUL days have been making me antsy to add to my existing five. I'm trying to convince DH to take off that day so we can go together. If he's with me, he can't get grumpy when I walk out with a bunch more! If I do it on my own, I'll never hear the end of it. haha

I will be there if nothing happens in my crazy life, probably with Marans chicks if any hatch. I only want about 3 and there are about 30 eggs in the incubator

. Half of those were very old eggs though that may be bad, and they are all shipped eggs from far away so who knows. Last time I hatched from this farm in November I got 2/6 hatching but one died shortly after. The rest all developed to full term but did not hatch. The silkie eggs in the incubator at the same time did very well. But you never know with me, this is only my third time hatching.

I also need to get rid of some of the silkies from the November hatch. I told my son he could keep 3 and he still has six.
 
I will bring the silkies. That was a great hatch and I had a bunch of them but I sold most of them in December because I couldn't brood that many. If the Marans hatch I only want about 3 of them so I will bring the rest. Should be mostly blues, splash and some cuckoo though I have two eggs from black copper and some blue copper eggs. I guess the blue copper don't breed true all the time though, like the blues. I should ask on the marans thread.

Sharon, I think I emailed you about your BOs. Will you have any of them there or at the TSC swap meet?

We just started construction on the coop today, and I think I'll have room for a couple more! Shhhh! Don't tell DH!

I spoke with Mrs Hertzler yesterday. They are going to make the swap a huge "Family Fun on the farm day" with lots of fun and games for kids. Several 4H groups are setting up with games and food for sale. Lots of vendors. Will be a great day.
